Founded in 1983, the Network of Applied Medical Genetics' objective is to support and develop basic and applied human genetic research by creating, managing and promoting scientific infrastructures and knowledge transfer for the benefit of the Quebec population.
The Network supports service platforms, develops Statements of Principles, and organizes workshops and meetings.

The various Statements of Principles developed by the RMGA since 1995 have been updated and consolidated into a single document: the RMGA Consolidated Statement of Principles (2016). Thanks to members of the Legal and Socio-Ethical Issues Strategic Group for the development of this important tool.
